Assembly
After cutting out all of my pieces for the past three days, I finally laid out all my pieces and saw everything together for the first time. To my surprise, it was much more cohesive than I thought. The whole installation also took way longer to assemble than I thought.
Sticking together all the pieces for the back drop.
After the tape has dried. I decided to hang it almost the same level as the window.
Pre-planning how I wanted the pieces to sit on the wall
Using mounting tape and foam board to create different layers so that the pieces can overlap each other.
Placing the cat the cloud first to get an overall idea of the installation.
Filling out the area near the cat first.
Then filling the top left side.
Nearly complete.
Close up of the cat.
Some closeups of the bird
It was hard to take photos to show the layers. Next time might start with the mounting tape instead of the double sided tape as the first layer to build more depth. The double sided tape was also not as sticky as i thought and I had to resort to using pins for some of the pieces.
